Job Summary
ATCO Marine Services is seeking an experienced Senior Crewing Officer to lead the recruitment, crewing, and mobilization of officers and crew across our fleet. Based at our Dammam Head Office, you will manage the full crewing cycle — from sourcing and recruiting qualified seafarers, to arranging visas, travel, and rotations, to maintaining compliance with flag state and client requirements. You will act as the main point of contact for officers and crew and work closely with agents, vessels, clients (including Aramco), and internal departments to keep operations running smoothly.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a marine company.
Position is available to Saudi Nationals only.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of marine crewing, seafarer certification, and flag state documentation.
Experience processing visas and immigration requirements for KSA and other GCC countries.
Familiarity with Aramco or other client approval and compliance processes (an advantage).
Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Job Responsibilities
Recruitment
Identify staffing needs and positions required across the company.
Post vacancies on job portals and follow up on applications.
Coordinate with recruitment agents worldwide and maintain contacts for staffing requirements.
Shortlist CVs, manage the selection process, and conduct initial interviews.
Verify candidate documents and certifications.
Negotiate salary and contract terms.
Obtain final approval for the selection and recruitment of onshore and offshore staff.
Source officers and crew for each vessel.
Plan work and vacation periods for offshore crew and prepare rotation plans for all officers and crew in line with their contracts.
Update and maintain crew records and documentation.
Act as the first point of contact for all officers and crew.
Prepare the monthly payroll.
Crewing & Logistics
Coordinate with agents to arrange crew sign-on and sign-off.
Process crew visas, including Letters of Invitation (LOI) for Saudi visas and visas for KSA, UAE, Oman, and other countries.
Coordinate with travel agents to book cost-effective flights.
Prepare travel documentation, including health/medical tests, hotel bookings, and local travel arrangements.
Maintain daily correspondence and communication with vessels.
Process flag state documentation according to each vessel's flag.
Identify and arrange the training required for seafarers.
Follow up with the accounts department and vessels on payroll supporting documents.
Operations & Administration
Coordinate with Aramco and other clients on CV submission and review.
Propose candidates for Aramco Quality and Assurance provisional approvals.
Prepare documentation for Aramco and other authorities.
Provide daily instructions to vessels, agents, and contractors.
Plan the logistics and mobilization of officers and crew.
Negotiate with service providers.
Verify invoices received and coordinate with the accounts department.
