We are proud to see ATCO Group’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment featured in the latest issue of Al-Kass newspaper. This recognition reflects a core value that drives us — the belief that investing in young people builds not just athletes, but leaders for the future.
At the heart of this vision is our Chairman, Ziad Al-Turki — a pioneer of squash in Saudi Arabia and a driving force behind its remarkable rise on the global stage. Ziad’s passion for the sport began locally, but his ambitions quickly expanded, focusing on how grassroots programs can shape not just champions, but confident, capable young people across the Kingdom.

A Global Leader in Squash
Ziad’s leadership journey in the sport began in the mid-2000s when he brought world-class squash to Saudi Arabia by staging the Saudi International event in Al-Khobar and hosting the 2010 World Championships. In 2008, he became Chairman of the Professional Squash Association (PSA), the governing body for professional squash worldwide.
Under his stewardship over the past 16 years, the sport has enjoyed unprecedented growth, marked by landmark achievements such as:
The historic merger between the Professional Squash Association and Women’s Squash Association (WSA).
The creation of SQUASHTV, the PSA’s OTT streaming platform.
Squash’s inclusion in the LA28 Olympic Games.
Ziad has also been a champion of equality and inclusivity in both squash and Saudi Arabia. He was instrumental in achieving parity in prize money and in staging the first-ever professional women’s tournament in the Kingdom — the 2018 Saudi PSA Women’s Masters. His leadership extends beyond sport, serving on the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee and as Honorary President of the Arab Squash Federation.
Empowering Youth Beyond the Court
For Ziad and ATCO Group, sport is more than competition — it’s a powerful platform for education, mentorship, and opportunity. This belief drives our support for national initiatives like the Scientific Camp for Orphans, which blends academic learning with sport and mentorship to equip young people with skills that will serve them throughout life.
We believe that when talent meets support, champions are born — in sport, in education, and in every arena of life. ATCO Group remains committed to fostering the next generation of leaders, innovators, and athletes in Saudi Arabia.
